Help! I have a loved one in need of Atlanta intervention services because of their addiction to alcohol and drugs.
8.3 percent of those in Atlanta, GA have used illicit drugs in the last 30 days. Because of its position as a major hub in the drug trafficking industry of Mexico, drugs like cocaine, crack cocaine and meth are particularly prevalent in Atlanta. Of the 20 percent of people who regularly binge drink in Atlanta, it is estimated a third may be considered alcohol dependent. For those whose use spirals into abuse, dependency or addiction, help is available.
Although a small percentage of people are able to recover from drug or alcohol addiction without intervention, the majority of individuals addicted to alcohol need assistance. For most, simple 28 day rehabilitation is just not enough to maintain control over a powerful addiction; however, with intervention and support, many can learn to control their addiction to drugs or alcohol and rebuild their lives in Atlanta.
Many individuals have approached their loved one regarding his/her alcohol addiction, with no success. It may be helpful when talking with your loved one, to have a third party present who is professionally trained and knowledgeable about drug and alcohol abuse and addiction, methods of treating it and how it affects not only the person using, but also the family coming to terms with this self-destructive behavior.
Intervention is the best way to make help available to those struggling with an addiction. Using an AiR: Assistance in Recovery licensed interventionist, 92% of those for whom the intervention was called go on to receive help through treatment, aftercare or counseling, changing their lives and those around them for the better.
Is now the time?
Ask yourself: How much worse will it have to get before you are willing to act?
If your current situation has you concerned enough to explore this option it’s time. If you are concerned about someone you love, nothing can be gained by waiting. Crisis comes and crisis goes, but with the disease of addiction, we don’t get to choose the consequences our loved ones will face the next time.
Will doing an intervention make matters worse?
No. Doing nothing only makes matters worse.
AiR: Assistance in Recovery’s intervention services in Atlanta are the most immediate and effective way to help struggling individuals access recovery.
