Help! I have a loved one in need of a Jacksonville intervention because of their addiction to alcohol and drugs.

The whole of Florida is susceptible to the influences of drug trafficking from Latin America – as Miami is the most important hub for this industry. As such, Jacksonville residents run risk of becoming addicted to all manner of illegal substances, especially cocaine (Jacksonville has the second highest instance of cocaine-related fatalities in the state) and ecstasy (which is particularly popular among the college student population). Other drugs are also problematic, especially meth, as well as heroin and club drugs and, of course, marijuana.

Those in the throws of cocaine addiction also run risk of becoming involved in the state’s excessive drug-related violent crimes, upping the ante for those playing with their lives in order to use. Though a small percentage of people are able to recover from drug or alcohol addiction without intervention, the majority of individuals addicted to alcohol need assistance. With intervention and support, many individuals are able to stop their addiction to alcohol and rebuild their lives in Jacksonville, FL.

The most immediate and effective way to initiate a loved one’s recovery from drugs, alcohol or even behavioral health problems is a professionally led intervention. AiR: Assistance in Recovery’s extensively trained and and licensed professionals have effectively helped hundreds of families overcome the addictions of a loved ones – 92 percent of those involved in an AiR intervention on go to treatment.

Is now the time?
Ask yourself: How much worse will it have to get before you are willing to act?
If your current situation has you concerned enough to explore this option it’s time. If you are concerned about someone you love, nothing can be gained by waiting. Crisis comes and crisis goes, but with the disease of addiction, we don’t get to choose the consequences our loved ones will face the next time.

Will doing an intervention make matters worse?
No. Doing nothing only makes matters worse.

AiR: Assistance in Recovery’s intervention services in Jacksonville are the most immediate and effective way to help struggling individuals access recovery. Our clinicians recognize that behavioral health crisis can be frightening, confusing and debilitating and that sometimes people just need to be rescued.
