Pavillon Drug Rehab Center

Pavillon is a residential center for the treatment of alcoholism, drug addictions, depression, codependency, dual diagnosis, anxiety, drug rehab, alcohol treatment, etc. Find recovery in this peaceful lakeside setting in the mountains of North Carolina.
EARLY STAGES OF TREATMENT
Often at admission a patient needs personalized medically supervised detoxification, to remove the alcohol and/or drugs safely from their system. In order for Pavillon’s clinical and medical staff to put together an initial treatment plan we need to assess the patient further. During the first week we complete a thorough medical exam to determine if there are any other medical care needs or symptoms. A large part of addiction is mood ““ despair, anger, a feeling of abandonment, and a loss of all hope. To determine the severity of symptoms the patient is also assessed in the psychological, psychiatric, and spiritual aspects. Spirituality is a large issue in any journey to sobriety. In the assessment phase there are learning lectures about the disease. The patient is also assigned to one of the several groups and their personal counselor.
During the following five weeks, the patient receives individual counseling sessions regularly as well as being seen by specialized clinicians who help prepare the individual for intensive therapy.
As they progress in treatment and the individualized plan is updated, we move to in-depth lectures and focused group therapy such as:
“¢ Working the 12-steps in all aspects of life
“¢ Identifying and responding to triggers
“¢ High risk situations that can lead to relapse
“¢ Managing emotional behaviors and connecting to a higher power
CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS
People with substance use disorders frequently have other mental and emotional problems such as depression, anxiety, personality, or bi-polar disorders. Pavillon ascribes to the philosophy that addiction and mental health disorders should be treated in an integrated fashion. Research has indicated that an integrated model of treatment is most effective in the stabilization, initiation, and maintenance of recovery. Pavillon’s multidisciplinary team provides the required clinical competence to truly provide this integrated approach. In addition our program is structured and designed to provide a comprehensive set of assessment, treatment and recovery services for both addiction and mental health issues when they occur together.
LATER STAGES OF TREATMENT
Once discharged, the stresses and temptations often seem overwhelming. Often it seems like an almost irresistible pull to men and women right back into deadly addictive behavior. A primary goal for our program is to help our patients learn how to resist that addictive pull and learn some of the skills of living a full and satisfying life outside the realm of addiction. This relapse prevention process provides important guidance with an additional emphasis on cross addiction.
Pavillon wants to help instill a balance in all aspects of life utilizing the 12 Steps so the patient is able:
“¢ To have loving and healthy relationships
“¢ To balance work with their personal life
“¢ To have sober leisure activities and new ways of having fun
“¢ To reconnect with a Higher Power and use this connection to add joy and meaning to every day of life.
